Twine Goods Terms and Conditions for the Sale of Secondhand Goods
Application of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA)
These terms and conditions are established in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which applies to all goods sold by Twine Goods to consumers in New Zealand. This Act guarantees that any goods sold by a business must be of acceptable quality, fit for their intended purpose, and match their description.
Quality of Goods
As a seller of secondhand goods, Twine ensures that all items are of acceptable quality considering their age, price, and the nature of secondhand goods. Acceptable quality takes into account the goods’ functionality, appearance, and durability appropriate to their age and price. All known defects or issues with the goods will be clearly disclosed to the buyer prior to the sale.
Right to Replace, or Refund
If a purchased item has a major fault, the buyer has the right to choose between a replacement, or a refund.
Disclosure of Faults
Twine will provide a full description of the secondhand goods, including any known faults or limitations. This information will be provided at the point of sale and included in the sales documentation.
Exclusions
The CGA does not apply to goods bought for business use, goods bought privately (non-trade), or goods sold at auction. Twine does not provide CGA guarantees for goods sold under these conditions.
Remedies and Complaints
If a buyer is dissatisfied with a purchase due to a breach of the CGA guarantees, they should contact Twine immediately. Twine is committed to resolving any issues swiftly and fairly, in accordance with the rights and remedies provided under the CGA.
Contact information
For any complaints or queries regarding purchases, please contact Twine at hello@twinegoods.nz or via the Contact page.
Limitations
